2000 Junior Tour 6 Day Stage Race

Stage 5 - 57.2 miles – Roundwood, Sat. 12th August


Start line in Roundwood - this will be the toughest stage of the race


At 10 miles they are all together as they start the Wicklow Gap

At 40 miles a Scottish rider goes clear on the Sally Gap climb to take the KOH

Sign On 9.30am at An Tochar G.A.A Community Centre Roundwood
Start at De Restriction Sign: 11:00 am.

  • 06.5 mls Right up Wicklow Gap start K.O.H
  • 10.7 mls K.O.H CAT 1
  • 17.4 mls Right dir Blessington
  • 19.4 mls T Junction Left dir Blessington (Marshal)
  • 20.2 mls Valleymount
  • 24.9 mls T Juntion right dir Dublin (static to stay till broom passes)
  • 26.5 mls Blessington
  • 29.9 mls Right dir Sally Gap (static to stay till broom passes)
  • 30.9 mls Left dir Sally Gap (14 ½ km)
  • 31.1 mls Dangerous Right hand bend
  • 32.6 mls Bad bends (Marshal)
  • 37.9 mls Bridge start K.O.H
  • 39.5 mls K.O.H Sally Gap (place car on right) CAT 1
  • 39.6 mls Cross roads right over Military Road
  • 43.8 mls Bad left bend (Marshal)
  • 46.1 mls Start 2 mile decent CAUTION (Glen Mac Nask)
  • 47.3 mls Shelter Marshal with whistle dangerous left bend
  • 52.0 mls Yield sign left
  • 54.5 mls Annamoe
  • 57.2 mls Finish just before GAA Hall.
