Stage 4 - 47.2 miles - Clonee - Friday 19th August

Official start in Dunboyne


At 20 miles 3 riders have almost 40 seconds


The Bunch at 20 miles


At 25 miles another breakaway group gets away


At 30 miles they have just one minute


Tim Cassidy leads the bunch

One of the worst things to happen in stage race: e.g. - Kanturk rider punctures


Service car number 7 goes by and there is still no sign of the riders team car


The whole field is just back together at 15 miles to go.

  • 11.6mls Sharp right onto main road (Marshall)
  • 12.2mls Right into Summerhill village
  • 12.3mls Start Circuit
  • 15.5mls Cat 4 K.O.H (Quarry)
  • 16.6mls Left dir Rathmoylan at cross roads.
  • 18.0mls S Bends
  • 19.7mls Right through Rathmoylan
  • 22.9mls Summerhill (Repeat Circuit One More Time)
  • 25.1mls Cat 4 K.O.H. Again quarry
  • 33.6mls Summerhill Right
  • 33.7mls Left
  • 33.8mls Fork left dir Dunboyne
